Custom Rift & Quarter Sawn Tas Oak Floors

Our Huntington and Soho floors are some of the most unique floors that we offer because the boards are cut using a technique called quarter sawing. Quarter sawn wood is quartered lengthwise from the log first and then the boards are sawn along the axis of the quartered wedges. This results in a more stable board, with distinctive grain lines which produce the unique look.

In addition to Soho and Huntington, we can also manufacture quarter sawn floors with a variety of color variations. All of these floors are sustainably sourced Tasmanian Oak. The gallery below shows a sample of some of the other color variations available. These floors are available via special order only, with a lead time of 4 months and a minimum order of 3,000 sf.
